The Ljubljana MTB Vikend powered by Mastercard festival (4–6 September) offers something for every mountain biker, inviting everyone to take part, support the riders on big jumps, and also test bikes and get good deals. The highlight of the festival will once again happen on Saturday afternoon with the FMB contest and big air show, while this year’s novelty is an enduro race in pairs.

In 2026, the festival will be held for the seventh consecutive year, once again with the goal of bringing together and showcasing mountain bikers and the mountain biking community. One of the most diverse sports is also extremely popular in Slovenia, and with its three bike parks, numerous pump tracks, BMX track, and ambitious plans for the future, Ljubljana is truly the capital of mountain biking. “We want the festival to become a celebration of mountain biking in Ljubljana and Slovenia, as well as a growing tradition in terms of competition, entertainment, and the expo. The seventh edition of Ljubljana MTB Weekend will be the biggest yet, with the highest number of competitors, an extensive expo, and plenty of entertainment,” says Tine Mahkovec, President of Cycling club Rajd, while already hinting at new ideas for the future.

The festival brings people together and offers something for everyone. On Saturday, the youngest riders will compete in the fun competition Argeta Junior KoloPark Cup, while teenagers will push their limits with safe airbag jump sessions. Festival will start on Friday afternoon with plenty of entertainment – the Scott Continental Pumptrack Contest is first and foremost a fun competition, and only then a serious race on dirt pump track in Bike Park Ljubljana. Enduro riders will once again head to the start in Podutik on Saturday, this time racing in pairs. The new format adds excitement to both the festival and enduro racing in general. In the afternoon, shows will take place on both big jump lines – first the international FMB Slopestyle powered by Ford trick competition, followed by the Bikehanic Big Line Show on the largest jump in Bike Park Ljubljana. This year, the jump has been made even bigger, while the enduro trails have also been refreshed. On Sunday, the festival moves to Golovec trails, where all remaining enduro race stages, as well as the youth enduro race, will take place. Tadej Tekavčič, President of the Golovec trails, commented: “Last year we hosted a SloEnduro series race at Golovec, but this year it’s time for something new. We’re returning to a more relaxed format and introducing our first-ever paired enduro race. It will still be full gas, but this year there will be much more emphasis on teamwork, strategy, and enjoying the ride together.”
Both festival venues will also feature a strong expo area with bike testing, equipment presentations, and special offers.
